Last week we had closed position, and this week we’re opening it up with Julie Brown and Gui Cavalcanti:
Open Position (All Levels, 7:30-8:30)
Open position gives you a lot of freedom to move around and to create interesting shapes & orientations with your partner. This week, we’ll work on moving around in open position (in new and interesting ways!), adding energy & dynamics to those movements, and how to make that all feel great!
Beginner Crash Course (8:30-9:00)
This will be a weekly feature designed to introduce novices to Blues dancing. It will provide enough vocabulary to have fun on the dance floor. Plus, when students feel comfortable with this material, they’ll be ready for the Series classes.
Plus, we’re bringing back live music! Shawn Hershey and the Blues Bananas will be in the house, warming up for their performance at BluesShout. For more information on the band you can check out: http://www.bluesshout.com/2011/bands.php
And because we have a band, we’ll be going till midnight.
We’ve dropped the class prices back to $5, and as with live music nights, the dance will be $10.
