The Dirty Water Lindy and Blues Exchange is almost here, and Blues Union is co-hosting the opening night Swing and Blues Party!

Instead of our usual home at Dance Union, this will be held at the Crosby Whistle Stop, located at 24 Roland St, Charlestown.

Joshua Boroff and Devona Cartier will be teaching the last lesson in their series at a level anyone can take:

Momentum and Partnering (All Levels, 8-9)
Dancing together, how do you make that work? Connection, leading and following, compression and leverage. What about movement? Inertia. As a follow, waiting for the lead to lead you and staying in motion. As a lead, being able to start that movement, act on the momentum of the follow and be able to change or redirect is also fundamental. This is all about momentum and partnering, and this is what our series will be. Leading more clearly, following with ease, coming together as a partnership.

Plus, there will be live music! The Shawn Hershey Quartet will be playing an awesome assortment of both swing and blues to kick the weekend off in style. As usual with band nights, the dance will be running till midnight.

The dance is included in the weekend pass. At the door the cost is $12 general, $10 student. The lesson is included with admission.
