Blues Union | 2-Hour Blues Intensive Class, Social dance | Blues Dancing

Blues dance is a family of Black American social dances (some solo, some partnered) that coevolved with different styles of Blues music throughout history, starting in the late 1800s and extending through today. Blues dance celebrates freedom of expression within community, improvisation, rhythm, and more!

**Evening schedule**
7-9pm: 2-hour intensive class with Joey Science & Julie Brown
9-11pm: DJed Blues dance party

**Class info**
7-9pm: A 2-hour intensive class to level up your blues dancing and work your foundations, with drills & more. This class is particularly good for people who are teachers or want to teach, but it will benefit anyone!

This month’s topic: Growing Together – In this class, students will spend time developing connection through feedback and self-review.

Sliding scale $10-25, free for volunteers & staff. No one turned away due to lack of funds. Cash or Venmo at the door. Presale tickets coming soon

Union Foundations: May 11

Every Thursday in May will be a blues dance class followed by social dancing. You can take the classes as a series, or drop in to one or more. All levels, no partner required!
