This week we have Shawn Hershey and Jenn Martinez bringing their third installment of a four week series:
Ballroomin’ (7:30-8:30)
Ballroomin’ is a style of blues dance that developed in the ballrooms of Harlem to slower and jazzy numbers. We will be focusing on quality of movement in close embrace as well as stylish moves that use an open frame. Come learn how to fill the space in slower songs with control and that feel good blues lag.
Beginner Crash Course (8:30-9:00)
This will be a weekly feature designed to introduce novices to Blues dancing. It will provide enough vocabulary to have fun on the dance floor. Plus, when students feel comfortable with this material, they’ll be ready for the Beginner Series classes.
Ready to give you those feel good Blues this week are Devona Cartier and Tim Lewandowski.
The Beginner Series class is $7 for students and $10 general admission, the Crash Course is $5, and as always, the dance is $5.
