Balancing Act (7:30-8:30)
In its simplest sense, balance for blues dancers is the art of not falling down. However, balance exists in many contexts- turning, one-foot, two foot, two-person, and standing on foot while patting your head and rubbing your stomach. Come train some balance drills, and learn how to use balance as a part of your dancing- as well as not falling down.
Blues Basics + Beginner Clinic (8:30-9:30)
This weekly drop-in class is designed for new-to-blues dancers or anyone wanting to focus on the fundamentals. It will provide enough moves to have fun on the dance floor, as well the opportunity to hone and polish the core techniques behind the dance. Each week, weâ€™ll cover something new, so you can come every week, or just drop in for a class or few. This class includes the beginner clinic, where you can work on your dancing one-on-one with instructors and advanced dancers.
As always, the lesson is $5 and the dance is an additional $5.
