Thursday. May 31

We’re making some changes to our Blues Clinic! Join us this Thursday to check out the new format!

Blues Clinic (7:30-8:30)
The Clinic is an opportunity to work with your friends and peers in exercises designed by Blues Union instructors. Each Clinic will feature one instructor. Music plays in the background, and people work together as said instructor guides them. People can also work with peers, dance with each other, try new things they’re working on, or try things the instructors have helped them with in the past. You can work on material from that month’s series class, workshops you took recently, or just come to social dance. This Clinic’s featured instructor is Mike Grosser.

Blues Basics: Ballroomin’ A (8:30-9:30)
with Ruth Evelyn and Mike Grosser
This weekly drop-in class is designed for new-to-blues dancers or anyone wanting to focus on the fundamentals. No experience or partner required! This month, we’ll be learning some ballroomin’ blues! Ballroomin’ is a sub-style of blues dances that were danced in ballrooms across America. Danced to jazz-blues, these dances have more partnered moves and often travel around the dance floor. This month, we’ll work on our close embrace connection and leading & following skills, through learning One Step & Two Step for blues.

Ruth Evelyn and Joey Science will be behind the DJ booth for your Blues dancing pleasure.

As always, the Clinic/lesson is $5, and the dance an additional $5.
