This week we’re serving up a whole lot of Ballroomin’ in:

Idiom Creativity (7:30-8:30)
with Jenn Martinez and Julie Brown
Looking to expand your creativity using a repertoire you already have? As a leader, do you ever feel like you’re not creating an interesting enough dance? As a follower, do you ever feel limited in your creative choices? Each week in this series, we’ll focus on one or two commonly-taught blues idiom dances (like fishtail or slow drag), and we’ll explore ways to dance entire songs with a single dance, without sacrificing any fun or personal expression. By limiting ourselves in this way, we’ll show how even the simplest things can be interesting and full of opportunity.

Blues Basics: Ballroomin’ A (8:30-930)
with Julie Brown and Zach Brass
This drop-in class is designed for new-to-blues dancers or anyone wanting to focus on the basics! No experience or partner required! This month focuses on ballroomin’ blues, danced to jazz-blues music. We’ll be working on one-step and two-step for blues, two stylish walking dances with close embrace, fun footwork patterns, and delightful turns.

Joey Science and Amy Blank will be behind the DJ booth for your dancing pleasure.

As always, the lesson is $5 and the dance an additional $5.
