Sweet Molasses may be over, but we’re still serving up fabulous classes! It all starts with:

Extended Topics: Reps, Reps, Reps! (7:00-8:00)
with Ruth Evelyn
There’s a saying that repetition is the mother of learning. This month, we’ll work on partnered patterns (like turns, side passes, or things that use momentum), and practice, practice, practice!
– Leaders will work on building muscle memory for leading these patterns, and refining the techniques to lead them clearly & comfortably.
– Followers will work on recognizing patterns, developing following skills to detect & follow variations, and refining the techniques to follow these patterns confidently & comfortably.

Level: This series will progress in level throughout the month–starting with basic patterns & fundamental techniques earlier in the month, and progressing towards complex patterns & next-level techniques later in the month.

Blues Basics: Ballroomin’ B (8:00-9:00)
with Charlene Chow and friends
This drop-in class is designed for new-to-blues dancers or anyone wanting to focus on the basics! No experience or partner required! Ballroomin’ is a sub-style of blues dances that were danced in ballrooms to jazz-blues. These dances have more partnered moves and often travel around the dance floor. This month, we’ll work on our close embrace connection and lag through Ballroom-style Slow Drag and work on turns & dips, as we learn Savoy Walk (also known as The Ballroom).

Steve York and Amy Blank will be behind the DJ booth to keep the Blues groove going strong.

As always, the lesson is $5 and the dance an additional $5.
