Thursday, February 6

It’s time for the next social dance at Blues Union, and we’ll have live music from The Undaunted Professor Harp!

This night is also a fundraiser night, with all profits going to Black Lives Matter Cambridge and the Racines Festival.

Extended Topics: Featured Artists & Dancing to Their Music (7:00-8:00)
with Julie Brown
This month, we’re featuring a different Black blues artist each week, learning about their music, their style, and fun & lovely ways to dance to their music. The level may vary each week. The first featured artist is Professor Harp!

Blues Basics: Style & Improvisation 2 (8:00-9:00)
with R.L. Nati and Joey Science
This month, we’ll work on developing your own style in blues dance, while learning fundamental techniques & moves. Work on things like aesthetics, pulses, and styling blues movements.

Social dancing happens from 9-11:30pm. During the break there will be a Chicago Steppin’ and a bachata showcase. Plus, we’ll have a jam for all February birthdays and anniversaries.

Each lesson is $5. At the door the dance is $15.
