Join for a virtual lecture on a topic where queerness and the blues intersect!

Writer & instructor Grey Armstrong will give a virtual lecture on a topic of his choice in the intersection of queerness and the blues. This lecture will be streamed online, as well as streamed in the space at Dance Union. At Dance Union, afterwards, there will be DJed music and social dancing.

7:30-9:00pm ET – Online lecture with Grey Armstrong (also streamed at Union)
9:00-10:00pm ET – Social dancing in person

Sliding scale $10-25, admission covers the whole night. No one turned away due to lack of funds.

About Grey Armstrong: Grey Armstrong is a blues dancer, writer and instructor of Black culture, history, and dance. His work focuses on unpacking unconscious bias, cross-cultural communication, in additional to culture formation. He also travels the world teaching African American vernacular dances and giving lectures of Black history and culture. He is the founder of the popular blog and website Obsidian Tea, which explores themes of the Black experience and culture, Anti-racism Praxis, developing cultural competency and the evolving relationship between Black and white Americans in the United States from the trans Atlantic slave trade onwards.
Grey loves teaching, tea, blues and of course cats.
